Operation Overlord Medal

Circular medal 34mm in diameter in gold-plated metal. The obverse bears a map of Normandy over which the flags of the Allied nations are superimposed, with the text 'OVERLORD 6 JUIN 1944' and 'UTAH, OMAHA GOLD, JUNO, SWORD'. The reverse bears the image of a liberty torch set within a triangular shape, with the text 'LIBERTÉ' and '"DIEX AIE"' and 'NORMANDIE MCMXCIV'. The medal has a fixed suspension bar. The ribbon is 30mm in width, with vertical bars of red, orange, yellow, green and blue.
