Gift 1934 i Glemmen med Solveig Marie Karlsen, f. 1908 s. st. 1 barn. Marinens håndverkskorps, radiotelegrafistskole. Tjenestegjorde som underminør på p/s Eidsvold, og omkom 9. april 1940 da skipet ble senket i Ofotfjorden.
