Gift 1915 i Horten med Hilda Nilsen, f. 1892 s. st. 3 barn. Var på nøytralitetsvakt som stedfortreder for en maskinist på p/s Norge, og omkom da skipet ble torpedert 9. april 1940 på Narvik havn.
