WELSVIK, ELIAS TORVALD, kanoner, Dalsfjord. Fødd 4. februar 1906 i Volda, s. til Jakob O. Welsvik, f. 1872, d. 1945 i Dalsfjord, og Sevrine f. Ostnes, f. 1875 i Haram. Var utlærd underoffiser og styrmann i Marinen. Melde seg friviljug til Den norske marine i 1940, og vart kanoner på p/s Norge. Miste livet då skipet vart torpedert og søkk 9. april 1940 på hamna i Narvik.
