Seilte under krigen i alliert fart med M/T B.P. NEWTON, og omkom [8. juli] 1943 da skipet ble torpedert på vei til Cape Town."
I Sjøforklaring til "B. P. Newton" er sjømann omtalt som "Harald Hansen".
