Seilte under krigen i alliert fart som matros på M/S BORGESTAD, og omkom da skipet ble senket den 12.februar 1941 i Nord Atlanteren under kamp med den tyske panserkrysseren ADMIRAL HIPPER. Skipet var på reise fra Freetown til England.
