Våre falne:
Middelskole, styrmanns- og skipsførereksamen. Var styrmann på d/s Hafthor som ble kapret av japanerne 7. desember 1941 utenfor Bangkok. Sammen med maskinmesteren greide han å komme unna i en livbåt og nå land, men måtte gå gjennom jungelen flere dager for å komme fram til folk. Døde 8. mai 1942 på sykehus i Bangkok av forgiftning som følge av insektbitt. (Fra «Våre falne»)
