Gift 1904 i Bergen med Kathinka Emilie Schmidt Monsen, f. 1881 i Bergen. 1 barn. Omkom ved D/S HØRDA`S forlis i mars 1941 på vei fra Liverpool til Halifax, siden 23. mars 1941 har en ikke hørt noe fra båten.
