«Utdannet som maskinist ved Marinens håndverkskorps, Horten, med tilleggseksamen for dieselmotor. Seilte som maskinist fra 1924 og var da krigen brøt ut, maskinmester på d/s Nordvangen, som kom bort på reise fra Paramaribo til Port of Spain, Trinidad, i februar 1942, sannsynligvis senket av tyske u-båter. Antonsen ble i 1917 torpedert med engelsk båt på vei fra Gibraltar».
