Middelskole. Var båtsmann og kanoner på m/s Tirranna. Skipet ble angrepet av en tysk raider da det var på vei fra Melbourne til Mombasa; tyskerne åpnet ild mot båten, han løp til den kanon han betjente, men ble rammet og døde med en gang 10. juni 1940. Krigsmedaljen post mortem.
