LARSEN, CARL MARTIN, sjømann, Hadsel. Født 16. august 1908 i Hadsel, s. av Thorvald Larsen, f. 1882 i Hadsel, og Daisy f. Ellingsen, f. 1883 s. st. Styrmansskole. Var på m/t Vardefjell, og omkom 13. desember 1942 da skipet brakk i to i Nord-Atlanteren. 12 mann på forskipet omkom, mens 29 mann på akterskipet ble reddet.
