M/S RAVNAAS ble 8.12.1941 - Senket av japanske fly 250 nm. Ø Samar, Phillipinene. Besetningen på 28 mann kom seg i båtene og rodde til Samar. Internert I japansk fangenskap på Cebu på Philippinene fra 9.12.1941 til 23.2.1945 , frigitt av amerikanske styrker og transportert til New York og avmønstret RAVNAAS der 26.5.1945. Fangenskapslønn t.o.m. 7.7.1945.
Kom hjem til Oslo, Norge som ekstramann med M/S JOHN BAKKE 26.8.1945.
