Gift 1942 i Calcutta. Styrmannsskole, radioskole. Dro fra Norge 1. januar 1939 og seilte under krigen som styrmann mellom India og Amerika. Ble skadet ombord under en storm i Det indiske hav og brakt til hospital i Brooklyn, New York, hvor han døde 23. juni 1943. Gravlagt samme sted.
