Marinens skytter nr. 1436
Antatt i marinen den 25. juli 1945, og utdannet til skytter i Dumbarton, Skottland. På grunn av fredsslutningen med Japan var det ikke lengere bruk for skyttere om bord på norske skip bestemt for Østen. Han ble derfor dimittert fra marinen den 23. oktober 1945.
