"Var ved krigsutbruddet marinegast på vaktbåt, og var med i kampene ved Kristiansand. Etterat krigen var slutt, drev han gårds- og skogsarbeid ved siden av sin skolegang. Var lagfører i Mil.org., var med i våpendemonstrasjon og kurértjeneste m. m. Gikk på skipperskolen da han ble arrestert 5. februar 1943 i forbindelse med opprullingen av Mil.org. på Sørlandet. Ble sendt til Kristiansand 8. februar, Grini 2. mars og til Sachsenhausen i Tyskland 10. juni, hvor han døde 8. desember 1943. Omtalt i slektsboka Iglandsætta 2, av Kristen Stalleland".
