Yrke: Fisker i ca. 5 år.
Var hjemme under krigen i Norge. Flyktet senere over til England. Meldte seg til marinen.
Antatt i marinen og ble utdannet til skytter i Dumbarton, Skottland.
Senere gjorde han tjeneste som skytter på følgende norske handelsskip:
M/S HELGØY fra 4.9.1942 til 19.2.1944.
D/S CETUS fra 26.4.1944 19.9.1944. overført
D/S HARDANGER fra 20.9.1944 til 14.6.1945.
D/S troppetransportskipet BERGENSFJORD fra 14.7.1945 til 23.11.1945.
For sin innsats for Norge under den annen verdenskrig ble han ble tildelt Krigsmedaljen, Deltakermedaljen og Haakon den VII`s 70 års medalje.
