MALERMOEN, KRISTEN LARSEN, 19. november 1911 i Nes i Hallingdal, ssmører, Våle. Født av Lars Malermoen, f. 1876 i Nes, og Signe f. Kristensen, f. 1880 8. st. Var før krigen på hvalfangst. Seilte under krigen i alliert fart med forskjellige skip, bl. a. d/t Mirlo, m/t Alexandra Høeg og sist m/t Pan Norway. Fikk nervesammenbrudd p. gr. a. påkjenningen og ble innlagt på sykehus, Nova Scotia, hvor han døde 9. februar 1942. Gravlagt på Camp Hill kirkegård, Halifax. Krigsmedaljen post mortem.
