SVEIN FOYN ble torpedert 7. oktober 1941, men kom til Liverpool 13. desember via Reykjavik og reparert.
Skipet sank 21. mars 1943 etter kollisjon med et isfjell.
Til Den norske Marine fra 19. juli til 22. juli 1944.

For sesongen 1939/40 var han med "Sourabaya" ekspedisjonen som 2. styrmann på hvalfanger "Sigfra".
