RASMUSSEN, NILS BJØRN, motormann, kvartermester i flyvåpenet, Oslo. Født 2. august 1917 i Dypvåg, s. av Karl Hjalmar Rasmussen, f. 1889 i Risør, omkom på sjøen 1918, og Berte f. Nilsen, f. 1889 i Dypvåg, d. 1920. Middelskole, mekanisk fagskole, luftforsvarets rekruttskole. Var til sjøs da krigen brøt ut, og kom med i luftforsvaret fra 1940. Tjenstgjorde i Ferry Command som førte fly fra Amerika til Europa. Omkom som fører på et Boston bombefly 25. oktober 1942 da flyet styrtet ned i nærheten av Crossmolina, Irland. Gravlagt i Crossmolina.
