Avmønstret i Halifax og utdannet seg som flyger ved den norske flyskole i Toronto. Tjenestegjorde i Skottland, Island og andre steder, og ble kvartermester i Marinens flyvåpen. Omkom 4. oktober 1944 i luftkamp utenfor Bergen.
