M/T POLYKARP av Kristiansand 6405 brt. 9765 dwt. Kaptein L. B. Guttormsen. Den 15. mars 1941, om formiddagen, angrep slagkrysserene SCHARNHORST og GNEISENAU fire tankskip som hadde tilhørt en vestgående oppløst konvoi, deriblant M/T POLYKARP som ble bordet av tyske prisemannskaper. Under kommando av løytnant Klemp nådde tankskipet Garonnemunningen i Frankrike den 24. mars 1941, og hele den norske besetningen på 30 mann ble sendt hjem og satt på frifot i mai samme år. Ankom Oslo den 3/5-41.
