Gustav Røsseland f. 13. juli 1901 i Kvinnherad. Til sjøs 1921 med D/S "Waldemar Skogland" (7200) av Haugesund, tilh. skipsr. Skogland. Styrm.eks. 1925 og skipsf.eks. 1928 i Bergen. Styrm. med D/S "Gyda", D/S "Skulda", M/S "Hindanger", D/S "Tilthorn", D/S "Mabuhay 2", M/S "Ronda", M/S "Ogna", D/S "Lista" og M/S "Norma".  Ble i 1949 fører av M/S "Norma" (7200) av Bergen, tilh. A/S J. Ludvig Mowinckels Rederi.  Har senere ført M/S "Palma" (6000), M/S "Molda" (8400) og M/S "Salta" (6200), alle av Bergen, tilh. s. n. rederi.
