LAURITSEN, HALFDAN GEORG, sjømann, Sande. Født 8. september 1898 i Sande, s. av Laurits Hansen, f. 1860 s. st., og Jakobine Amalie f. Mathisen, f. 1870 i Hof. Tok hyre på d/s Tempo i januar 1939. Da skipet var på vei fra Oslo til Hull i februar 1940, ble det bombet i senk av tyske fly utenfor Longstone i England. Han kom opp i en livbåt sammen med 4 av mannskapet, men omkom 3. februar da båten kantret.
