Var hvalfanger, men gikk under krigen inn i Den norske hær i Skottland, hvor han var i sanitetstroppen. Falt i tjeneste 8. september 1943 på Svalbard.
Gift med: Hulda Emilie, Mo i Sandar
På "Salvestria" 1939/40 var han "handyman", alt mulig mann.
pr 1. januar 1942 var han i hæren. I hæren ble han "Army Coast Battery Gunner".
