"Var på nøytralitetsvakt i Marinen og deltok i kampene under invasjonen i Norge. Fra høsten 1940 var han på m/t Borgny, og omkom 4. oktober 1941 da skipet ble torpedert utenfor Marsteinen, på reise fra Son til Trondheim".
