Gift 1935 i Tønsberg med Haldis, f. 1910 i Sem. 1 barn. Teknisk skole, styrmanns-, radio- og skipsførerskole, korrespondansekurs. Var på m/s Hai Hing, og omkom 4. november 1942 da skipet ble torpedert i Mozambiquekanalen, på reise fra Bombay til Durban.
