Var kokk på M/K SPONHOLM som forliste 11. september 1942 utenfor Gjermundnes i Vestnes. På grunn av at tyskerne tross advarsler hadde lastet båten så uvørent at den hadde sviktet i bunnen, tålte den ikke påkjenningen og sprang lekk da den kom ut i høy sjø.
